My first macro pictures

I am still looking for a cheap way to take macro pictures, and I have 3 choices:

• Reverse ring
• Extension tube
• Raynox DCR-250

I tried the reverse ring without a reverse ring! I just handeld the lens reverse to the body of the camera to see if I wanted to use this system or not. I kind of like it, but you do need a tripod, which I didn't when i tried, and managing the lighting isn't always easy.
